The pneumonia vaccine, helps protect you against serious and potentially fatal pneumococcal infections. Two different Pneumonia vaccines are available with differing constitutions and duration of immunity. Your Prescribing Pharmacist will discuss the appropriateness of each vaccine for yourself.

When to get vaccinated:

Course: There are three different pneumococcal vaccines. All consist of one dose.

Boosters: No boosters required.

How it is given: Injection in the upper arm.

Children: Some Pneumonia vaccines are suitable for children. The Prescribing Pharmacist will let you know which vaccine is suitable for you.
